Etchings are created by drawing on coated copper plates and then submerging the plate in an acid bath, which etches the drawn line into the plate. The plate is etched and proofed numerous times until the artist is satisfied with the resulting image; an edition is printed from the final plate. All these etchings are 4" x 6", except "Inspired by Matisse…again" which is 6" x 9". All are printed on Rives BFK or Magnani Incisioni rag paper. All editions are limited to 12, with the hand-coloured examples extra to the editions, as each is unique. The 4" x 6" etchings are $40.00 unframed; hand-coloured examples are $60.00 unframed. "Inspired by Matisse…again" is $80.00 unframed. |
